Jamie Stott, M.S. is a professional archaeologist and freelance writer based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. She is passionate about archaeological education and public outreach, and strives to spread the importance of protection and preservation through her work. Jamie is currently a consulting Archaeological Field Director, and is the Program Archaeologist for a nonprofit science education program.
Jamie has worked throughout Utah, the Great Basin, and Western Australia, focusing on prehistoric archaeology. She is skilled at archaeological survey, compliance monitoring, excavation, artifact analysis, human remains analysis, and curation of archaeological collections.
Jamie has presented professional papers and posters at the Society for American Archaeology annual meetings, the Great Basin Anthropological Conference, and the Utah Professional Archaeological Council annual meetings. She is a contributing writer for SLUG, one of Salt Lake’s oldest independent magazines, and is also currently working on her first novel, a fictional account of her archaeological experiences in Australia.
